I was drawn to the AMBUCS summer camp because I am a Special Education Teaching Assistant for District 118 Schools. This summer was the first summer I was able to work as a counselor at the AMBUCS summer camp for special needs children and adults. I must say I have never seen such caring, fun, enthusiastic, loving, group of people. I was proud to join as a counselor. Activities were well thought out and planned. So many children and adults had the time of their lives (including me). This experience has truly left an everlasting impression on my life. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to this event on a yearly basis.
