Luxurious, lightning fast and masterfully engineered, but ugly as hell. What a car... But personally I find that a contender for the best car ever shouldn't try to take off and shouldn't poke you for gas every 20 minutes.

3.6-litre engine, 381 bhp, 60 mph in 4 seconds.
And that very aggressive racing look!

One of the fastest street cars (60 mph in 3.2 seconds). Without all the computers they put now between You, Car and the road. Pure adrenaline with over 200 mph.

For British manufacturer Lotus, high-performance is all about simplicity. A lightweight, stripped-down car with a modest engine is the Lotus ideal -- the pure sports car. The new Lotus Elise fits that ideal perfectly. It weighs less than a ton and only has a four-cylinder engine, but it's fast enough for most and has handling characteristics that more than one automotive magazine has called "telepathic."

Light, fun, reliable, and a monster at the track.
Anyone who knocks them has never driven them.

This was Toyota's falgship sportscar with bulletproof reliability and the perfomance numbers to put anything near its price range to shame. This car has a cult following because of its aftermarket support to easily put down supercar numbers with minimal investment. Increase the boost and airflow with bolt-ons and it performs reliably with the likes of the Porsche 911 TwinTurbo.

When Nissan introduced this car in 1990, it set the bar for affordable sports cars with 300hp. It was easily tunable to over 400hp with mere bolt-ons.

Top up or down it has world class handling, braking, and almost world class power. Yet a long way away from world class price. Able to take enough stuff for a long weekend and dependable enough to get you home over and over again. Will still turn heads almost anywhere. Oh, and it really doesn't need a turbo, superchager, or any traction control PCM etc stuff.

While racing the same car on the 401 in TO back in "76 we both started being chased by a couple of sleeper cop cars at 2AM. We ran for about 2 - 3 miles then decided to pull over and I'll never forget how visibly shaking thr cop was who pulled me over! He had a real hard time just writing me up a ticket I'm guessing because it's the 1st time he'd ever driven that fast. If I hadn't worried about him maybe having my plate number there's no way he would ever have caught me. I'd just past 160 on the speedo when I realized he was about a mile behind me; what a blast. Thare was also no other traffic at that time of night or it would've ended a lot sooner also.

the eunos 30x was a small Japanese sports coupe. it has a unique 1.8l 24 valve v6. it may not have the most powerful or torquiest engine here, but it does have the smoothest. due to the V.R.I.S. when you reach 4500 rpm it has a sudden boost of performance with sound which scares away any competitors!!!!....if you want better performance than go for manual. if you want a car with good handling than this car is perfect. although it is a front wheel drive its supple suspension, light weight and small size gives it good handling. not just good handling but best in its class handling, handling so good for a front wheel drive that you can in fact drift with it. with its good performance in speed and handling it has a body to match, with a smooth design, low stance and a sculpted spoiler. this car has room for 4 people and has bucket seats. overall this car has excellent performance, a nice design and room for 4 people.all that for just $ 4000 to $12000. now thats what you call a good sports car.

1760 cc, 550 horsepower, both turbo and supercharger, 4 wheel drive, 2.3 seconds to 62mph, all packed in the most menacing hatchback body ever made. And it's been around since 1985.

English Made, skelleton body, weighs 500 KG with the best 4 cylinder engine out there, a 2.0 VTEC of the newest Honda Civic. Versions from 300 to 350 HP with Compressor.
Its a pure race car for the street and pretty dangerous for newbies. Beats almost any other street car on almost any race tracks.
Only disadvantage is the top speed, which must be limited for safety to about 230 to 250.
0-100, 0-60 is about 2.6-2.8 seconds
