Sounds ridiculous I know but it has been proven that if we use a smaller plate we tend to eat less apparently our minds must hear that echo from childhood eat everything on your plate.

Oh, I know most of us hate that word. Honestly though you can make small changes at a time that will increase your exercise which in return burns calories, reduces stress and is good for your overall health.
Do not park in the closest parking spot. Take the long way in the store to get what you are going after. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Of course, be sure to talk to your doctor before you make any exercise plan.
