Yes, it lasted four seasons too long and the recent movies have taken away some of the franchise's luster but at its peak this was the perfect blend of law enforcement procedural, supernatural thriller and science fiction mystery.

Almost criminally underrated, Babylon 5 changed the way people think of science fiction on TV with its three dimensional, well rounded characters and complex story arcs that span multiple seasons.

JMS never got the treatment he deserved for this epic series. A shame the 5th season went to waste, but considering the circumstances, he did the best he could. Ivanova, G'kar, Garibaldi and Londo will always be dearly remembered!

A pure delight with a stellar Australian cast - made Ben stand out like an odd caricature, but we still loved him all the same ;)

It might not have the cultural cache of its predecessor, but for engaging stories, brilliant acting and well written dialogue The Next Generation surpasses the original in nearly every regard.

Charlie Jade Report Abuse
This series was a nice surprise. Admittedly very dark and the back-drop reminds me of Blade Runner's epic cityscape. This series is very much about style, atmosphere and storyline. And a complex one at that. Many intricate threads weaving together made for a satisfying series all around. If there was one drawback, it took me a while to warm up to the characters. Although they were all brilliant actors, they lacked the energy and spunk found in BG or Farscape because the focus here was on the plot, not character development. Despite this, I think it deserves some attention because it was no doubt a labour of love in the way it's artistically portrayed.

This one has been steadily growing in intensity as the seasons wear on.. let's hope the mystery continues to some ultimate dramatic conclusion that has some relevant purpose behind it all.

Most laughed when word of this reboot of the 70s camp classic got out, but one one's laughing now as the new BSG has proven to be the most consistently well written and complex show on Television. One of the greatest political allegories ever created in the genre.

The first season was very entertaining but then the persistent sexuality became a bore as the series wore on. Sorry I'm not interested in sci-fi soap operas thank you very much. But the female dark-haired lass is a saving grace. She's a fine British actress. If you've seen her play Maggie in Dicken's Little Dorrit series, you'll realize how diverse she really is.

Mildly entertaining, and the story held some promise although I could never quite take Jessica Alba all too seriously in this effort. A pretty girl with a mean attitude. Where have we heard this before??
