car seat Report Abuse
you can bring along a carseat for each child. This may or may not count as part of their "luggage allowance", but having a seat you know is safe is better than relying on the car rental company to provide one for you.

You can keep a small child in a stroller and gate check it at the last minute. Most airlines do not charge for this.

Small snacks--you can't bring a ton of liquids on board, but airline snacks stink.

prescription medications Report Abuse
Put any essential meds into your carryon bag--at least enough for a day or two. If the ariline loses your luggage, you won't have to scramble to find a pharmacy and get refills.
