1950 World Cup's Miracle on Grass - United States Beats England 1 - 0
This is considered one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history. It is also considered one of the greatest if not the greatest upset in United States soccer. It was called the Miracle on Grass. The United States was filled with amatuers and a few immigrants while England was a team of professionals and easily one of the best teams in the world at the time.

2009 Confederations Cup Semi Finals - United States Defeats Spain 2 - 0
The United States team defeated currently #1 ranked in the world and European Champion Spain in the Confederations Cup semi final. The United States had showed that it was struggling in recent World Cup Qualifiers prior to the tournament. The struggling continued as the team only got to the semi finals by the 3rd tie breaker - Goals Scored, beating out Italy and Egypt. Spain was on a 15 game winning stream and had not lost in 35 games. It is easily considered one of the greatest upsets in soccer.

Tech was beaten previous year by Kentucky both times by over 50 points. Tech player stold ball in final seconds to make winning shots..UK fans were actually crying in the stands
