Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On January 28, 2013, the Board of Directors of Waste Management, Inc. (the “Company”) elected Victoria Holt as a member of the Board. Ms. Holt’s committee memberships have not yet been determined.
Ms. Holt, age 55, is currently president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Spartech Corporation (NYSE: SEH), a producer of plastic products for a wide spectrum of customers with operations in North America, Mexico and France. Prior to joining Spartech, Ms. Holt served as Senior Vice President, Glass and Fiber Glass, for PPG Industries, Inc. Ms. Holt also currently serves on the board of directors of Watlow Electric Manufacturing, a private company that designs and manufactures industrial electric heaters, sensors and controllers.
