C. R. Bard, Inc. (the Company) today announced that W. L. Gore & Associates Inc. (Gore) today filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona (the District Court) a Request for Judicial Notice that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Gores previously filed request for a re-examination of Bard patent number 6,436,135 which is the subject of Bards patent infringement suit against Gore. The Company does not believe that this will materially impact the litigation proceedings.
