Item 8.01. Other Events
On January 16, 2013, the board of directors of MidAmerican Energy Company declared the regular quarterly preferred stock dividends payable on March 1, 2013 to shareholders of record as of February 7, 2013. The following dividends were declared:
$0.825 per share on the $3.30 Preferred Stock;
$0.9375 per share on the $3.75 Preferred Stock;
$0.975 per share on the $3.90 Preferred Stock;
$1.05 per share on the $4.20 Preferred Stock;
$1.0875 per share on the $4.35 Preferred Stock;
$1.10 per share on the $4.40 Preferred Stock; and
$1.20 per share on the $4.80 Preferred Stock.
