Item 8.01. Other Events
On March 26, 2012, LyondellBasell Industries N.V. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing an offering of senior notes to institutional investors and certain non-U.S. persons. Also on March 26, 2012, the Company issued a press release announcing the commencement of a cash tender offer and related consent solicitation for certain outstanding notes.
Copies of the press releases announcing the launch of the note offering and the tender offers are attached as Exhibit 99.1 and Exhibit 99.2, respectively, to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
