On January 24, 2012, Marilyn E. Wortzman, Vice President, Finance and principal accounting officer of Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Transcept”), informed Transcept of her intention to resign her position at Transcept, effective on or about April 30, 2012 (the “Retirement Date”), in connection with her retirement. Transcept expects Ms. Wortzman to continue in her current role until the Retirement Date.
