RE: The tariff classification of liquefied petroleum gas from China.

Dear Ms. Miller:

In your letter dated August 17, 2007 you requested a tariff classification ruling for liquefied petroleum gas.

The product is described as a liquefied petroleum gas consisting of: 72.5-76.5% propane (CAS-74-98-6), 23.5-27.5% n-butane (CAS-106-97-8), 3.0% iso-butane (CAS-75-28-5) and 0.3% ethane (CAS-74-84-0). The product will be imported in bulk in pressurized tanks for use as a spray paint propellant.

The applicable subheading for the liquefied petroleum gas imported in bulk pressurized tanks will be subheading 2711.19.0020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other liquefied gaseous hydrocarbons. The rate of duty will be free.
