RE: The tariff classification of a pullover from China

Dear Mr. Sunakoda:

In your letter dated April 11, 2006, written on behalf of Spark Fashion 21 Inc., you requested a classification ruling.

Submitted style 133761 for ladies’ wear, manufactured from light-weight, knitted fabric of 60% cotton/40% rayon, is a long-sleeved, scoop-necked pullover. A belt of matching fabric is drawn through belt loops around the waistline.

This submitted sample is being returned to you.

The applicable subheading for this style will be 6110.20.2077, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for pulloversknittedof cotton, other, other, other, women’sknit to shape articles described in statistical note 6 to this chapter. The duty rate will be 16.5 per cent ad valorem.
