RE: Modification of NY 832934

Dear Mr. Holzapfel:

In a ruling letter (NY 832934), dated November 10, 1988, our New York office provided you with the tariff classification of certain chemicals. The amino acid l-phenylalanine was among the chemicals classified.

Upon review of NYRL 832934, we have determined that 1-phenylalanine is specifically provided for in subheading 2922.49.10, HTSUS and is therefore properly classifiable under this subheading.

NYRL 832934 is modified accordingly.
