Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

When I started out looking for a dehumidifier, I was quite wary. I had gone through a great deal of dehumidifiers in the house that I lived in, where the basement and other rooms constantly needed to be dehumidified. Sick of dealing with subpar brands, I turned to Whirlpool as I had never had a dehumidifier by them, their other products that I had used and purchased worked great, and I had heard only good things. I had used Frigidaire's in the past, and had only been disappointed.

One feature I loved about the Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier was how quiet it was - I could run the dehumidifier for hours and it wasn't very loud at all. If there was any noise, it was due to pressure towards the bucket of the dehumidifier. I found that if the noise from the unit happened to be bothering me, a little styrofoam seemed to do the trick.

Another thing I loved about the Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier was that it was more or less 5 inches off of the ground, rather than draining out into a dirty old bucket. This really helps with water draining, and if you have dealt with other brands of dehumidifiers in the past you know this can often quickly become an issue. The height of the Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier helps to keep the bucket clean, as long as you are always constantly keeping it drained.

Another great feature about the Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier is how light weight it is - since I have more than one area of my home that I need to dehumidify on a regular basis, being able to transport the dehumidifier is important to me. Despite how light it was, I found that the Whirlpool AD50USS Gold Dehumidifier was still able to drain the air of 50 pints of moisture daily.
