Honey, “Don’t you think we should paint the exterior of the house?” These are the words that strike fear in the heart of many a husband when it comes to repainting the house. It is a daunting job to be sure. After getting a couple of estimates from painting contractors, and your visit to the hospital emergency room for the heart pain the prices have caused, the possibility of doing it yourself appeals to many homeowners. The cost of a ladder, a few paint brushes and rollers seem to be the reasonable answer for us.

We can rent a paint sprayer for $50 to $100 a day to make the job go faster. However, what yourselfer can get the job done in only one day? Even a weekend may not enough time to finish the job? Consequently, if you are going to spend $200 for a rental unit, which may not be maintained well and consequently not perform as it should, owning a sprayer may be the best choice.

If this all seems to be the right choice for you, buy a Wagner Pint Crew Plus. The name offers hope for the homeowner, “Paint Crew”. Who doesn’t want a paint crew to help? This is the homeowner’s solution to both interior and exterior painting needs. It is a professional type sprayer at a decent price of around $200. Just two days rental cost where you pay for the machine and do not get ownership.

It comes with a professional type spray gun and a roller attachment that allows both spray and roller application. However, you will need to purchase an extension handle for the roller. Get one that extends to at least ten feet to reach those hard to get places on the exterior walls. It has its own roller cart with extendable handles to move it around. When you want to store it, for future jobs, it folds down in to a small package.

The professional type spray gun offers a reversible spray tip that is necessary for the occasional plug up. All you do is flip the tip around and use the pumps pressure to clear the clog. It has a 2.5-gallon reservoir that is very easy to remove when it comes time to clean up the rig.

It is equally adept at applying interior latex for the next time the wife says, Honey, don’t you think we should repaint the bedroom?” Grab the Wagner and make the wife happy, maybe!
