I purchased this blender because it seemed like the best from all viewpoints. It chops veggies, it grinds coffee beans, it makes hot soups and sauces, it makes all fluids super smooth, and it is pre-programmed with all of the different things you may wish to make. Also on the positive side, there is cord storage, the blender cup itself is huge (64 ounces), it comes with a cookbook and DVD, and it has a 7 year warranty. It seems as though it has every feature one could want in a blender.
While all of this sounds great on paper, I discovered that I did not enjoy using the blender as much as I thought I would. For starters, I have no idea where to keep it because it is too tall to fit on my counter, below my cupboards. Also, it is exceptionally loud when blending, more so than the last blender I had which was purchased at least 15 years ago. The "hot" soups and sauces were more like "luke warm", and the blender cup always seemed a little wobbly on the base, like it was not quite anchored in correctly. Also, every time you want to select a speed or a function to use, you have to take 2 steps to do it.
For the amount of money this product costs (I spent about $500 on it), it should be of better quality. There are many blenders on the market which claim to do the same things as this one, for much less money. It does its job, but I thought for such a high price I was really going to be wowed, and I was not. For the amount of money you spend on a product like this, great quality is expected and I was very underwhelmed. I did not return it because it does work, and it was not broken, but I am rather disappointed that it does not seem to be as wonderful as advertised.
