Toshiba Regza 32AV500

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

With time, it was only natural that the price of LCD televisions would go down. While you may be angry if you're among the people who splashed out on the first, less advanced LCD models, if you were patient this is fantastic news, as much larger sizes of LCD televisions are available for much less than just a couple of years ago. The Toshiba Regza 32AV500 is an example of an entry level LCD television that is a great deal, at 32 inches.

A great feature of the Toshiba Regza 32AV500 is that it has so many inputs. These include two HDMI inputs for cable or satellite, as well as a Blu-Ray player if you happen to have one. The Toshiba Regza 32AV500 also has two different component inputs, along with a front and rear composite, and front and rear S-video, as well as a PC input, which you won't find on too many televisions. While this isn't an amazing array of connectivity options, it is pretty impressive for a television in this price range. Of course, the Toshiba Regza 32AV500 would have won more points if it had had one or two more HDMI inputs.

It is these inputs that allow you to have access to high definition television, and the 720p set does a fantastic job with displaying high definition content. The overall picture was good with the Toshiba Regza 32AV500, as Toshiba consistently does a good job of definition processing, even with small screens, as it is in this case. While the black levels are not quite as deep as they could be, the Toshiba Regza 32AV500 is a fantastic model nonetheless.

While the Toshiba Regza 32AV500 isn't incredibly sleek or thin, it more than does get the job done, with LCD technology at a fantastic price. The speaker bar located beneath the screen gives great sound, which should be noted as well.
