The Home Sentinel Digital Wireless 4 Camera Handheld Baby Monitor

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

One of the biggest advantages of this monitor is that it's noise activated. Many other similar monitors I looked at were on all the time. I didn't want to have to turn my monitor off at night, nor did I want to have to listen to static all night. Others that were noise activated had a lot of screeching and buzzing which was too much to deal with. The Home Sentinel is crystal clear and allows me to listen to what's going on without listening to the buzzing.

I also like that this system comes with 4 cameras. I have two children, which means two bedrooms. I also run a part-time daycare from home and sometimes have children napping in the playroom. I use the 4th camera as a backup so that if one of the others were to become damaged I'd be able to immediately replace it. It's essential that I have access to all of these cameras so I can feel secure that my kids are safe.

I've had this system for about 4 months and so far it's been very durable. Two of the cameras have been knocked onto the floor and have suffered no damage as a result. I also found it very easy to install these cameras. I have the ones in the bedrooms installed high up so that I can see a panoramic view of the room. My husband was able to get them in with just a few screws.

I was a little worried that these would be difficult to use, as my mother is over to watch the kids quite frequently and she's not the most tech savvy person I know. However, once the cameras are installed, it's simply a matter of turning them on and off and ensuring that the monitor is on. She's had no problems operating the system.
