Sunbeam Professional Iron 4239

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The Sunbeam Professional Iron 4239 is the best iron I have ever used. Key features are the digital preset fabric options that you can choose and the ability to spray steam or water. Once you select the fabric type, the light turns from red to green to let you know that it is ready to operate. This intuitive design means you will no longer burn or scorch your clothes.

Throw away that spray bottle because you will no longer need to keep a bottle of water nearby; the iron lets you shoot your clothes with a burst of steam or water. The iron also has a self-cleaning feature which helps to prolong the life of machine. Bonus features are the long cord and the clear container for water.

Design of the iron is aesthetically pleasing and the iron is lightweight, but sturdy. I have to say I enjoy not having to guess which setting works best for what fabric. On previous irons that I owned, I managed to burn clothing even when I used the "correct" setting. This iron has never burned any clothing and that is a money saver. I have also had irons leak and catch on fire. The Sunbeam Pro has lasted for several years and it has yet to break, leak or catch on fire.

The only downside is that you have to bunch up the cord and stick it between the base of the iron and the handle. Other than that, the iron is quite easy to use and clean. This iron even has an auto-shut off feature for the absent minded. The iron costs $54 dollars and has a one year warranty.
