Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier with Humidistat

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

I have awful allergies, so I was looking to buy a dehumidifier that would work hard and consistently, that I would not need to replace, and that I could purchase more of if I was satisfied with the way it worked.

The Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier has four settings. The humidity level (humidstat) can be set to "continuous dehumidification", 50%, 60% and 70%. The fan will continue to run but the dehumidification processor will turn off when it reaches the selected humidity level. The unit can operate down to 2-degrees C (36-degrees F), which will be great for continuous operation anywhere in the house.

The Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier has three fan settings: med, high and quiet. "Quiet" really is quiet, and could probably work just fine in a bedroom. I was very impressed with how silently the Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier ran - my fridge is much louder. This resulted in me buying two more for the living room as well as my bedroom.

I also loved that the Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier has wheels, making it incredibly easy to transport and move around. It is also very easy to empty, with round edges making it easy to fit into tight spaces to maximize storage around the house. My allergies have gotten significantly better, particularly around months and seasons where I would typically be dealing with strong reactions to virtually everything.

I would recommend the Soleus Air CFM-40E to anyone who is looking for a small, really quiet, relatively light, medium capacity (40pint) dehumidifier that helps to combat allergies and excess water and humidity in the air without all of the excess noise. I am very impressed with the Soleus Air CFM-40 E 40-Pint Dehumidifier.
