Sole F85 Treadmill

I love to run. I jog every day if I can help it, though it usually ends up being more like two to three times a week, I would run every day if I had the time. And while I prefer to run outside, there are days when that is just not an option. So, ever since I've been out and on my own, I've owned a treadmill.

Home treadmills used to be incredibly expensive - or incredibly flimsy. But in recent years it has become easier to purchase a good quality treadmill that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. So when my old treadmill finally died, I went shopping for a new model.

I'd never heard of the Sole F85. I'd never heard for Sole for that matter. But the price, just $2000.00 for a treadmill that not only had a 3.5 horsepower motor but a sixty inch running surface (a necessary addition when you are tall like myself) was too good to pass up, as weans the impressive five year warranty.

Just for the record, I did my comparison shopping. I looked at the Bowflex 7-Series, and the Smooth 9.35, and while I preferred the Landice L7 Cardio Trainer, it was not within my budget range. Besides, to be honest, the feel of the Sole F85 was just - better than either the Bowflex or the Smooth. It was smoother. It was quieter, and it goes up to twelve miles per hour, which is faster than I'll probably be able to run unless I'm surging with adrenaline in an attempt to outrun a rabid dog. The controls are easy to understand and use and, on top of everything else - it still folds! That's right, I can fold it up when I'm finished with it, thus freeing up some extra floor space in the basement, which my wife definitely appreciates when she's trying to do her aerobics.
