Sharp 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner-AF-S125RX

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

Unfortunately we do not have central heat and air in our home, which means that our dependence upon window air conditioners is very high during the summer months. This summer we purchased the Sharp 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner for our living room, as the one that we had purchased previously could not keep up with the heat. I have been very happy with this air conditioner, as it is quiet and it keeps the room cool even during the warmest of months. I also like the fact that it has a thermostat on it, which means that I can keep the room at a somewhat constant temperature without having to turn the air conditioner on and off through the day. It has really fit our needs as far as the size of our living room and the weather that we experience during the summer. The different fan speeds allow you to choose the strength that you want the air to blow out and the different levels allow you to choose to be as cool as possible. It is simple to use, too, which has not been the case previously with the thermostats on some air conditioners. Our electric bill is not overly high either, which is often the case when you are using window air conditioners. The filter needs cleaning every few weeks, but this is simple and easy to do. I have enjoyed the fact that this air conditioner takes care of our needs and allows me to rest easier knowing that I am not going to walk into the living room and feel as if I have stepped into a sauna. All you have to do is install it with the included window kit and plug it in to enjoy coolness in any room that you choose. Nothing could be better.
