SansBug Mosquito Net Tent

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The SansBug pop-up mosquito net tent is among the best values on the market for outdoor tents. Single person models typically go for under $50.

Specifically designed with special mosquito mesh netting, the SansBug pop-up tent is unique designed for protection against mosquitoes and other insect invaders that can sometimes intrude upon yMy camping experience.

I got a SansBug tent in black and yellow colors. Despite an impressively roomy inside upon pop-up, the tent arrived neatly folded into a small disc shape, inside a tent bag. The bag came with a promise of easy set up and that was an understatement. After a simple unfolding step, the tent automatically popped up into position.

This tent is extremely versatile considering its modest price point. Casual or avid campers, survival planners, teens on a camp out and others could benefit from its ease of use, durability, and protection.

My tent is a double occupancy version. You can purchase the SansBug in single, double, or triple occupancy sizes. Fiberglass poles are used instead of steel rods for support of the tent. This is to avoid corrosion, according to the company.

While the company promotes the fiberglass rods as contributing to added portability and durability for the tent, it does make for a challenge in folding the tent after use. Though not impossible, it is quite a bit more difficult to fold the tent and pack it than it was to unfold it for set up. This is not enough of an obstacle to justify not buying into the value of the SansBug, but it is worth noting.

Other features of the tent include its oversized interior (in all sizes), single zipper entry access, mesh freestanding walls, polyethylene flooring, two stability pegs, and a water-resistant carrying case for easy packing and transport.
