I purchased this shredder when my last one wore out after only a few months. I chose this model for the modern and attractive design and large opening. It has worked well and I would buy this shredder again.
One feature that I like about this shredder is that the paper slot and CD shredding slot are separate. This makes using the shredder a lot more convenient and ensures that the paper and CDs are both shredded properly. This shredder can shred about 20 sheets of paper at a time, CDs, credit cards and DVDs. I have found that it cannot shred cardstock and cardboard very well, so I tend to avoid shredding these items.
This shredder is also very stable. The feet are actually small wheels, which makes this a convenient choice if you need a heavy duty portable shredder. When it is going to remain in one location the wheels lock and act as small legs for the shredder.
I also like that the shred basket has an alarm notification when it gets full. I don't shred very often and generally forget to empty the basket and this feature keeps my machine from clogging up. The waste basket is very large and has an 8 gallon capacity, so it doesn't need to be emptied very often.
This shredder is a cross cut shredder and does a good job at rendering documents completely unreadable. It rarely jams and when it does it is usually easily resolved. My only complaint with this shredder is that power cord isn't very long and I have had to use an extension cord to plug it in before. Since it has wheels, I wish it also had a longer cord to make in room transportation more of a possibility.
This is a high quality and effective shredder that seems like it will last for quite awhile.
