Rowenta DW8080 Pro Master Iron

I bought this iron because I was sick and tired of less expensive irons getting jammed or not heating properly.

This iron works very well. What I like best about it is the way it absolutely glides over every kind of fabric I've ever used it for. It never snags or burns because it won't move.

The steam works quickly and doesn't take very long to heat up. It works well but is not so vigorous that it gets the fabric wet.

One of my favorite things is about this iron is the cord. I am in a constant struggle with cords. I iron almost everything I wear for work and so I do it almost every day. I hate, HATE struggling with cords when I'm ironing. This one has the cord sprouting out the top which pulls it far away from the heating element and the garment I'm working on. It also swivels, so when I have to turn the iron to twist it around buttons or pockets, it keeps the cord hanging out in the same direction to it doesn't pull out the outlet or twist around my arm.

My only real complaint about the iron is that it spits water at certain settings. If the steam is on and working for more than fifteen minutes or so, something happens and water spots appear on my clothing. The water isn't dirty or stains the garments, but I would rather it not do it.

There is nothing wrong with this iron. It does what it says it will do without breaking down or being finicky. I love some of the features, like the great heating surface and he steam settings. However, there's nothing about this iron that is so exceptional that I feel it justifies the price.
