The only reason I am giving this iron a 1 instead of a 0 is because it was only $14. And I suppose I should not have been surprised that a $14 iron would be worthless, yet I purchased it anyway.

Let's start with the very few good points. First of all, it is very sleek and lightweight, the cord pivots which is nice because it does not get in the way, and also it was the cheapest iron I could find. The iron looks nice and the grip is comfortable to the touch. Filling the water is convenient and the buttons are easy to navigate.

Now for the bad stuff; if the steamer is on high, water spills out all over the clothes, the metal plate sticks to clothes and causes more wrinkles than you began with, and the plate is not entirely smooth so it would snag my clothes when I passed over them. When the iron is standing up the water stays put, but as soon as you tip it a little the water is on your clothes. If you are ironing a shirt that you want to go right to wearing you now have a big wet spot on it, that will undoubtedly be wrinkled when it dries. Also, with the metal plate being of very low quality, as I am sure it is for such a cheap price, it will stick to clothes. With cotton this is not detrimental to the quality of your clothing, but annoying because everything has to be ironed over multiple times and it is a very long process. If you plan to iron more delicate fabrics, I would stay clear because there is a good chance that the metal plate will ruin them.

I truly got exactly what I paid for in this instance and I would definitely recommend biting the bullet and shelling out a little more money for a lot less aggravation.
