Poulan Pro PR624ES Gas Powered Two-Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start
Rating: 4 out of 5

This was actually the 2nd snow thrower we bought. We'd initially bought another model in the same price range and it literally just fell apart with the slightest bit of snow. So we were a bit weary to spend so much money on another snow thrower. Luckily this one actually worked.
As soon as my husband inspected this snow thrower he was impressed. The last snow thrower we'd bought was clearly made as cheaply as possible but this one didn't skimp at all. For example, the tines have shear bolts in this thrower, while other had shear pins. This makes for a stronger construction. The handle bars are attached with 4 wing bolts, while the other handles were attached with only 2. I could go on and on about all the ways this snow thrower is made solidly.
One of the biggest selling points on this model was the headlight. I drive several neighborhood kids to school and in the winter months it's often still dark when I have to head out. My husband is able to go out, get the driveway and sidewalks plowed without worrying about the darkness.
I have had to use it a few times and I found it very easy. The propulsion works perfectly for me. I've used lawnmowers before that have a really powerful propulsion that is almost too much for me. This definitely makes it easy to use the snow thrower but it's not too much power for me.
Of course this price on this is a little high. However, like I said, we initially got a really terrible snow thrower for not much less than this. It's definitely worth a bit of extra money to get a high quality machine that I believe will last for many years.
