The Peg Perego Primo Viaggio Infant car Seat is one of the most recommended and highly rated on the market today. With an MSRP of $300, it was worth every penny I spent. It comes with the base so that you can position the seat however is appropriate until the required age to move or upgrade. The car seat base is nice because I can just snap the car seat into the base and be on my way. It never comes unbuckled so it sits snuggly in the seat, even when making a sharp turn-- which is not recommended. The side level indicator is nice because it tells you when you have the right level of recline for optimum safety. This car seat is highly rated due to the addition of its Side Impact Protection, a feature that no other car seat has yet to claim having. This car seat is designed for babies up to thirty inches or thirty pounds, which ever comes last.

The padding that sits in the seat is not very plush, a point that I am not a fan of, but the extra cushion that surrounds my baby's head is nice. I know that going over a speed bump or if we were to ever get in a crash, his head isn't going to bounce around in the car seat like a beach ball. The five point bracing system is one that I liked the best. I know that unless someone older and stronger than my infant must get him out otherwise, he will stay there. There are harnesses that keep his arms, legs and chest all secure so he can't wiggle out without someone's help. The belly pad is nice because it protects from chafing and the large sun visor on top keeps my son completely shaded from the sun so that he won't get burned. All United States safety standards are met with this car seat, even though it was built in Italy. Overall, I give this car seat a 5 star rating as it is the most recommended by hospitals and the Department of Motor Vehicles for overall safety.
