The NordicTrack stepper machine includes four pre programmed work outs for those who are not sure what they need. This helps give you a little head start on where you should be in your work out level. Setting your own goals is a lot easier after you have viewed these pre programmed work outs. Another easy way to track your progress with the NordicTrack stepper machine is by viewing the easy to read display screen. This screen lists the time spent on each work out, how fast you are going and your steps per minute. This machine also lists the calories burned during your work out and keeps track of your heart rate so you know whether to slow done or speed up for maximum work out results. The built in fans help you to stay cool during the work out so you do not overheat and make yourself sick. The only thing I do not like about this stepper machine is the lack of stability. I find that the faster I go the more wobbly the machine seems. Going to fast makes me feel like the machine is going to tip over and send me spilling out onto the floor. I prefer a machine with a little more bulk to it so I feel safer. Sometimes the machine needs to be a little heavier to ensure safety. Although this machine does have its positive attributes, the stability is a big factor for me. I don't recommend this product to anyone who works out extensively as I feel it is all too possible that you may tip the machine. Also, if you may be a little on the heavy side, I am afraid the same thing may happen. If you are into fitness and pushing yourself to the limit or on the heavier side, I would recommend looking for a heavier, more stable machine.
