Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker COF ISTX95

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

If you love coffee, you'll love Mr. Coffee's 10-cup thermal programmable coffee maker, because you'll never need to buy filters again! I love the washable, removable filter basket that comes with a water filtration lid, so, not only can you easily lift out the basket to dispose of your coffee grounds, then rinse the basket ready to re-use, but when you add water for your brew, 97 per cent of chlorine is filtered out, making your coffee taste so much better.

I have model number COF ISTX95 which has the MSRP of $69.95 and it comes packed with great features. Once you've loaded your ground coffee, the amount of water you add can be seen through the dual water windows, so you can add exactly the right amount for the number of cups you require. Brewing starts at the touch of a button; however, you can delay brewing for up to 24 hours by setting the delay brew timer. This is a great function for those of us who don't like to get up in the morning--after all, who can resist the smell of coffee brewing as you wake up?

If you're in a hurry and can't wait for the coffee to finish brewing, the brewing pause 'n serve button lets you pour a cup while the pot continues to brew with no more messy drips all over the warmer plate. You can even adjust the strength of your coffee from regular to strong with the brew strength button, but if my husband put the brew on, there's no getting away from his extra strong coffee!

A beep signal lets you know the coffee has brewed and the fresh brew timer lets you know how long your coffee has been ready, because this model will keep the coffee warm for two hours before automatically shutting off, presumably to save power and prevent the pot from going dry, especially as you can't see through the stainless steel casing of the thermal carafe.
