LG Electronics 65 Pint Dehumidifier has proven to be a lifesaver in our household. We have a moist wet basement that periodically floods and this Dehumidifier has provided us with the ability to remove up to 65 pints of water from the air every 24 hours - and believe me, with the way this basement works, we are really happy with the product.

The LG Electronics 65 Pint Dehumidifier is an Energy Star unit that can roll on its casters from room to room, so wherever we need this, we can have it. Either you can remove water through the 21 pint bucket that is included in this dehumidifier or you can attach a standard garden hose to it and let it drain continually into the drain. What we like about this is that there is a choice, since even in our basement; there are days when less than 65 pints of water need to be removed. When you are not operating the ongoing drainage, there is a full bucket auto shut off indicator on the unit.

Unlike our old dehumidifier that you could hear operating several floors away, the LG Electronics 65 Pint Dehumidifier is quiet. There are 2 fan speeds, an automatic humistat, and automatic defrost control. You are able to set the amount of humidity you want in your area and even with the drain hose attached, once the humidity level is reached the automatic shut off comes on and the system will not restart until the humidity level exceeds what you've set.
There are a few issues that we have with this system, but they are not any real concern. When the system is operating, we cannot allow any of our pets near it, as the air flow may injure the pet - also don't keep any plants on or near it, as they will be drained of moisture. The other issue is that the color is a monolithic black. Our biggest concern has been that unless the 21 pint reservoir is pushed into the unit and fits snugly, there can be leaks and water drainage all over the floor.

If you clean the filter every week or so make sure the drainage is secure or that the bucket is tightly into the holder and that no one - person, pet or plant - is in the direct airflow of the unit. You'll be quite happy with the results; I know that our room is much drier and more pleasant thanks to our using the LG Dehumidifier.
