Kenmore 7512 Air Conditioner

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The Kenmore 75121 air conditioner is a nice, basic air conditioner that is perfect for student apartments or people who have just left school and can't afford to break the bank just yet. Despite it being at a lower price point, it actually features quite a few extra add-ons that make the air conditioner even more convienient and perfect. The 75121 is all white, and is plastic - but not quite so durable, but it definitely gets the job done, especially considering the price. You need to be careful when you install and clean the front filter and remove the plastic face - it's really easy to damage.
The Kenmore 75121 has all kinds of different electronic control. The control panel lets the user change the temperature rapidly and quickly, which can defintley comes in handy. It lets you change the temperature, fan speed or different timers. The Kenmore has three different fan modes, and a sleep mode. It also has a automatic restart if there's ever a small power outage - it just turns right back on to it's former settings. However, this air conditioner is very noisy, perhaps due to it's lower price.
The Kenmore 75121 has a filter that you need to make sure to clean, since it is re-usable, but again, you do need to be quite careful when you are cleaning it, as some of the parts aren't so durable. One nice feature about the air conditioner is that it can cool several rooms at a time and you can feel it's effects throughout a whole apartment, which is really nice considering this is a little bit of a lower price point. The Kenmore also as a dehumidifier function, which is nice if you find this to be an issue, as it serves double duty and there is no need to buy a sperate dehumidifier.
