Easily one of the easiest to recognize small vehicles, the Mini Cooper, owned by BMW, was an instant success. The new 2011 Mini Cooper convertible that is set to go on the open market in September of 2010, but was introduced in some car shows, has the same classic appearance with several new features. Introduced at $24,900 most Mini Cooper Convertibles end up costing more only due to the features on the car.

This is an easy to drive small car. The wide wheel base and small size make it very maneuverable and quick. The powerful engine gives the small car much more torque than it actually needs. This 1.6 liter engine is able to put out 118 horse power. This is for the 4-cylinder engine, although there are models that have a larger and more power engine. The 6 speed transmission helps to reduce the wear on the gears and provide additional power when needed. This small car drives very well due to the rigid body frame construction and the multi-link rear suspension. There is also variable assisted power steering, making it easier to make tighter turns and control the steering wheel. This is essential for fast turns or tight turns.

This is a nice car to look at as well. The bumper is painted the same color as the car. The convertible has three different color options and the mirror caps can be customized as well. This helps to inject personality and personal tastes into the exterior appearance of the car. The adding of bonnet stripes help to add a more streamlined and race like appearance. The exterior can be customized as to fit the needs of the driver.

The interior of the car is also very nice. The seats are very comfortable and provide ample support. They sit at a comfortable angle and distance from the steering wheel, but they can be adjusted to suit the needs of the particular driver. Heated front seats are available on the winter packages and the trim can be customized to match appearance.

The reliability of the 2011 Mini Cooper Convertible is not yet known, but the 2010 Mini Cooper Convertible is rather reliable and good in bad weather. If the vehicle is well maintained and treated well, it will operate better for longer than those that are not properly maintained. To get the most life out of the car, please follow the recommended maintenance schedules provided by the manufacturer.
