I purchased the Horizon Fitness CST3 Treadmill about three years ago for approximately $2000. I like the look of it, and the large single push buttons that are on the front. The entire display on the machine was well thought out, and has a lot of nice features. There is a fan that has three speeds that you can use, which is nice for a hard workout. It also has single touch buttons to change speed, or even incline. You can also change both speed and incline with a button that goes up one notch at a time. There are two cup holders on either side of the display, but I have found that they are too shallow to even hold a regular sized water bottle. The bottle will stay in there if you are walking gently on the machine, but if you are running the bottle will fall out. While this treadmill is pretty quiet when running, it has a beep that sounds every time you push the speed or incline button. This is possibly the loudest beep on any machine I've ever heard. It is annoying.
The treadmill feels steady until you begin to use it at higher speeds (it goes up to 10/mph). At about 3.5/mph the machine begins to wobble a little, regardless of the size of person using it. The belt on the treadmill also comes loose frequently and if you don't not pay attention to tightening precisely, it gets off center and takes an unbelievable amount of time to fix.
The treadmill does have some nice features, but for the price I don't feel that it is stable enough, and the belt needs to somehow attach better. If Horizon were to fix these two features along with the loud beep, it would be worth looking at purchasing this again.
