Hoover WindTunnell Pet Rewind Plus UH70086

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The Hoover WindTunnell Pet Rewind Plus is the ideal vacuum for any pet owner. I found it superior to all other products in its class in design, function, and build. The first thing I noticed when using this vacuum is the intuitive design. Every feature was created and placed with the user in mind. The power button is set into the handle and positioned just beneath your thumb for easy access. The roller brushes can be shut off with a foot lever for easy transition from carpet to hard floors. The retractable cord can be activated with a simple foot lever. These are all nice bonuses, but the real winning feature of the WindTunnel Pet Rewind is its consistent and powerful suction. Earlier WindTunnel models quickly lost their suction, but the Pet Rewind maintains consistent pressure and never clogs. The bagless cylinder is clear, so you can easily see how full it is and what has been sucked up. (This is handy during those occasional sock or toy suck-ups!) Unlike many comparable vacuums, the brush on the Pet Rewind's attachment is powered and rotating. This is fantastic on fabric and upholstery. I use it often for furniture and window coverings. For those nightmare combinations of fine hair and textured upholstery, this attachment works wonders. When mere suction is not enough, the rotating brush frees the hair from the grip of the fabric so that it can be whisked up the hose. The vacuum does fall short in a few areas. I have found the attachments to be ineffective on carpeted stairs. It's difficult to get the brushes into narrow areas, and they don't move easily across carpeting. Also, there is only one short extension pole, so the range is limited. Over all, this product is an amazing value for a bargain price of $159 MSRP.
