Honeywell 1500W Ceramic Heater
Sometimes when you are trying to keep your furnace settings lower in the winter, using a small electric heater can help you keep warm, especially in drafty rooms. This heater was purchased by my boss last fall, even our office moved into a newer area that was harder to heat. This little heater has really made a huge difference in the winter time when I am in my office.
Retail price is about $40 dollars; however, my boss got them for about $25 dollars at a pre winter heating sale. This ceramic coating on this heater means it will stay cool on the surface so that you may move it around without fear of being burned. This heater will warm up the air space around you and when it gets to the desired temperature that you have set, the unit will monitor that temperature, keeping you from feeling cold spots.
One of the other reasons that this little heater is so great is its small size. The entire unit is about 7 inches in diameter, but it puts out the heat. There are also several different auto shut off features; when you move the heater, it will stop heating, if you knock it over it will also stop. It doesn't have an on/off switch, and that is something I really wish the heater had, instead of having to just unplug it all the time.
These heaters can be purchased from retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, or at home improvement locations like Lowe's. The price you will pay depends upon where the heater is purchased. Each one of these little heaters comes with a limited five year warranty, which I believe is very good for this item.
Another feature of the small heater is that it can be tucked under your desk to warm your feet or moved out into the open to warm up more of the space. It all depends on where you are cold. Our office has several that are carried with us when we are attending other functions or meetings in offices that we know to be cold. They are very easy to transport. Honeywell is a well known manufacturer of heaters and we have had several other Honeywell's in the past, and have really been happy with their products. I would recommend this heater to anyone who needs a little more warm air during the cold winter months.
