Glacier's Edge Bandon 3 Person Tent

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

Recently, I purchased a Glacier's Edge Bandon 3 Person Tent to take on my anniversary
camping trip. I had no idea what the quality of the Glacier's Edge brand was when I
purchased this tent, but I must say that I was more than pleased. This dome tent was
simple enough that one person was able to put it together by themselves. The rain guard
that goes over the top was very handy as it rained the entire camping trip. The box
claimed that the tent was waterproof, and indeed, we did not end up with a tent full of
water. Condensation accumulates easily on the inside if it is left zipped all the way up but this was not a problem. There was more than enough room for the my husband and
I in this tent. We were able to keep all of our belongings in it as well as roll out sleeping bags with room to spare. The shoe flap that hangs outside of the tent was very nice to have. Our tent stayed nice and clean on the inside. The bottom of this tent is made from a nice heavy tarp like material, we didn't have to worry about getting a hole in the bottom from sticks or rocks. The down side to this heavy material is that it crinkles and makes a lot of noise when you step on it, making waking up several times in the night a likely possibility anytime that someone rolls over.

Although the tent only comes in one color, an ugly tan and orange, it has been the best
tent that I have purchased for $30. All of the stakes and poles each come in their own
separate pouch for convenience purposes. Unlike other tents that I have purchased in
the past, I had no trouble getting this tent back into the zipper bag that is included with the tent. Everything fit neatly back inside and there was no hassle in rolling it back up.
