GE Profile PK956BMBB - Black 27 Inch Double Electric Wall Oven

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

This double oven is sleek black and features push buttons with digital readout. The top oven doubles as a convection oven as well. It has buttons for the upper oven which include cook time, delay start, clock, kitchen timer, and oven light. The convection mode has buttons for bake, roast, broil (hi and low), self clean, and probe. The lower oven has buttons for bake, broil (hi and low), cook time, delay start, self clean, and oven light. It is very convenient to have two ovens at different times of the year, such as for holidays when we may have a lot of guests and there is a need to cook more food.

This is the first convection oven that I have owned. I like it as it requires less heat and cooks meat thoroughly without drying it out, usually in about 25% less time. The one bad thing about the convection oven is that I am unable to clean it with typical oven cleaners that you buy at the store. This is because if the cleaning agents were to get on the fan, the cleaning agents could make the fan corrode over time. Although the ovens both have self cleaning mode, I have always liked using the oven cleaners as I think they do a good job.

This typical model has proven to be reliable, efficient, built with exceptional quality, and very easy to use. It looks very good in my kitchen and the front panel is very easy to clean with a damp cloth. This model typically runs about $2000. I have been completely happy with this model of traditional and convection oven. When this model finally gives out, I will most certainly look at buying the newest version of it. I have had no complaints and have not had to fix or replace anything, not even a bulb.
