GE 25.0 Cu Ft CleanSteel Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Dispenser GSL25JFTBS

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

We were in the market for a new refrigerator, so we bought this one a few years ago. Our old fridge had a water and ice dispenser on it, and we wanted another one that had that feature.

I love stainless steel appliances and this refrigerator definitely has that look. A good looking refrigerator brings the entire kitchen to life, and this one certainly does that. This model has the water dispenser we wanted as well. The dispenser also does block ice and chipped ice. As an added bonus, the water that comes out of the dispenser goes through a built-in water purifier in the refrigerator unit. We have to change to filter to the purifier every so often, but that is no big deal and the water tastes great.

This is a side-by-side unit, with the freezer section on the left and the refrigerator section on the right. Both sides are very spacious and can accommodate plenty of groceries on the door and middle shelves. The freezer side has five door shelves and four middle shelves, and the fridge has three middle and four door shelves. One of the nice things about this fridge is that I can put a gallon container of milk, water, or anything else on one of door shelves because they are adjustable. This saves a ton of space in the middle shelves of the refrigerator and is easily one of the best features.

The deli drawer has a temperature dial that can be adjusted to keep those items colder, and the vegetable draws humidity can be adjusted as well. Our older refrigerator had none of these features and we are thoroughly enjoying them.
I have nothing negative to say about this unit. It has required no repairs or outside maintenance in the four or so years we have owned it.
