Escort SmartMirror with GPS Navigation is the ultimate in GPS luxury. Trying to read maps or talk on the phone while driving or just plain being distracted annoys me, and I get really upset when I see others doing it while they are driving. I admit it though I used to be guilty of this too whenever I was lost or confused. But ever since we got the Escort SmartMirror with GPS Navigation and installed it in the car, I've found that driving, even in strange locations has gotten easier, safer and much more pleasant.

The Escort SmartMirror with GPS Navigation replaces your regular rear view mirror on your windshield. With a huge storage capacity, the SmartMirror provides you with 2D and 3D maps that are easy to access with voice directions. There is a real-time navigation that includes Lane assistant and Reality View technology to enable you to see exactly what is going on around you. It also it includes points of interest - from what I can tell, millions of them! A Navigon Mobile Navigator displays street level preview, interstate entrances and exits, and all major intersections.

Since the mirror is Bluetooth compatible, you are also able to access your cell phone through this SmartMirror. Hands free talking makes for a much safer ride - and safer for all people around you. There is even a 2GB SD memory lot where you can store audio books, additional maps, pictures and more - along with an integrated speaker for the phone, listening to books or hearing directions.
The left side of the mirror emulates a traditional review mirror while the GPS runs concurrently on the right side. This is a large 4 inch LED readout, so you can really follow along without having to strain your eyes or look away while driving. At the bottom of the mirror are controls for the phone. You can see the incoming calls on the LED display, so you know who is calling and can answer the phone automatically or manually with the press of the button. Even when you are done driving you can transfer the call without losing a moment.

My only drawback, besides a rather daunting price tag of over $1000, is that there is almost too much information available here. It takes some time to get used to everything, but once you do you'll find it is worth it.
