I bought this vacuum cleaner at the same time I bought my steamer, when I was living in my apartment. All I was looking for was something inexpensive, sturdy, and able to do basic vacuuming. I spent less than fifty bucks on this model.

It certainly looks good enough on the outside, with its bright red finish and stylish design. It's pretty light and easy to carry from room to room. It has the standard attachment hoses for vacuuming in hard-to-reach spots, and the long wand-like gray plastic tip for reaching into crevices came with it.

Nowadays, I have to have a vacuum cleaner that traps dust and allergens, and this one is supposed do to that with 99% efficiency. As far as the actual vacuuming, it did just ok in that area. I usually have to go over a spot on the floor several times to get all the tiny particles up. The fact that the vacuum is not that wide means it doesn't cover much ground in one pass, but the fact that it is lightweight and glides over the carpet prevents me from tiring out. I do like the little headlight for vacuuming under my bed and couches that are far enough off the floor for it to get under.

I absolutely hate having to empty the dust and dirt out of vacuum cleaners, because it is always a messy job. I feel like the filth and dirt is getting back into the air when I change out the filters or bags. I thought this one would be mess-free as advertised, but it really wasn't. I can still smell dust particles and even see some of them floating in the air when I open the vacuum cleaner up. Basically it does a decent job, and it gets my recommendation for the money.
