Cuisinart Stand and Handheld Mixer HSM 70 Power Advantage

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I recently purchased this mixer to replace my hand mixer which had broken. I have always wanted a stand mixer and was excited to find a combination that featured both. Since this mixer is both a hand and a stand mixer it is very versatile and can be used for almost any kitchen project. Plus it saves space since you don't have to purchase and store both.

This mixer features a variety of mixing attachments including standard beaters, a whisk and dough hooks. This makes it an ideal choice for a wide variety of different projects. The whisk works much better for whipping cream than the standard beaters and makes some of the most delicious and airy whipped cream. The dough hooks work well, but has a little trouble mixing heavy breads. I find that a bread maker is much more convenient.

It is easy to remove the hand mixer from the stand if you want to use it as a hand mixer. When the mixer is attached to the base it locks in place easily and always stays attached. The mixer stand features a lift leaver which makes it possible to change attachments while the hand mixer is attached.

This mixer came with a 3.5 quart bowl that attaches to a spinning turntable. I like the turntable because it makes it easy to incorporate all the ingredients without having to mix separately or use a spatula too often. It mixes well and has plenty of power for most jobs. This mixer features a 220 watts of power, which is plenty for my usage. I do wish that there were multiple bowls to fit this mixer since there are times that I need a second bowl.

This mixer is a great combination of a stand mixer and a hand mixer. It offers the convenience of both without having to spend money on two separate appliances. It is easy to use and easy to store.
