Craftsman 6.75 Torque Briggs and Stratton Lawn Mower
The Craftsman 6.75 lawn mower is a great push lawn mower for someone who does not have too big of a yard to mow. The mower is very lightweight and perfect for those who are smaller in size to handle. The machine has a standard side discharge, along with a white mulch bag in the rear that will pick up all the leftover cuttings so you won't have to rake after mowing. The white bag however starts to look somewhat dingy over time, but this doesn't really bother us. My yard is only a quarter of an acre so this mower works well for our family.
The Briggs and Stratton engine is what originally drew our family into Sears to look at the mower. We have had several Briggs and Stratton engine mowers over the past twenty years and they are very reliable with a lot of power packed into a smaller mower. The mower also has a ready start system that is a lot easier to start after the first or second pull on the cord. Other mowers I have had in the past took too many pulls to start. Also there is no need to prime the gas before attempting to start the mower. For me, this is a major deal, as I got really tired of priming only to not have previous mowers start right away.
The mulch bag can also be removed if you don't have high grass or don't mind the clippings that are left over to be raked. We have friends who leave their mulch bag attached because they recycle the clippings for their vegetable gardens, which can easily be done with this mower attachment.
The retail price for this mower at Sears is around $190 dollars but I remember getting it on sale during one of the stores major lawn and garden events. All in all it is a great price for the quality of this mower. At times, it is also on sale online where one can purchase it on sale and have it held at the store for pickup or take advantage of free shipping when it is available. For homeowners who are on limited budgets, this type of machine will probably last between four and six years, making it a great value for the money. Of course if you want a larger more powerful machine, look at some other mower.
