When it comes to camping in the great outdoors, Coleman is far and away the number one brand in America. They offer a wide range of products for campers at every level. Their Roadtrip Pro Grill is on the higher end of camping and outdoor eating equipment.

The burners give you an advertized 24,000 BTU of cooking power. This is split between the grill's two burners. The total cooking area is large enough to cook a meal for a family of four with a couple of guest. It is about 340 square inches. The cooking surface is removable. They have coated the surface with what I believe is porcelain. This makes the cooking surface very easy to clean. So long as you have the time to wait for it to cool before you have to pack it up. The outside of the Pro Grill is not easier nor more difficult to clean then any other portable grill I have used.

The Coleman Roadtrip Pro Grill cooks with propane gas. We had to purchase a separate accessory hose to use our 20 lb propane tank. Out of the box, it is designed to use the disposable 16 oz propane cylinders. If you have ever gone camping, you will be familiar with these smaller tanks. I used the disposable tanks once, because our 20 lb tank ran out of gas. We were able to cook everything and still have gas left in the smaller tanks. So this unit is efficient with its use of gas.

The biggest drawback I have with the Coleman Roadtrip Pro Grill is the weight. This baby is heavy! Including the stand, it tops the scales at over sixty pounds. For something designed to be portable and hauled in and out of your trunk or van, it is too heavy. At this weight, you truly have to plan on moving it out, and putting it back. You cannot just push it around your trunk you make room.
