Bumbleride Flyer

Safety and convenience are two factors that you are going to look for in any stroller that you use for your baby. I chose the Bumbleride Flyer stroller because I needed one that was appropriate for an infant under six months in age and that was car seat compatible. The five-part harness makes the baby stay secure and the reversible handle makes it possible to face the baby or walk from behind.

The large basket beneath the stroller gives me all the room I need to keep all the accessories I need to care for the baby. It also features a large canopy that provides lots of shade. One feature that I was most interested in was that the Bumbleride Flyer is car seat compatible. Unlike other brands that are more expensive, this one offers as recline that makes it easier for the baby to nap in it. Also, the stroller is all right on perfectly smooth surfaces but it is nearly impossible to use on rough areas like a gravel walkway.

The stroller is strong and rugged but can be difficult to steer, especially when the baby is facing you. When it comes time to put it away, it is difficult to fold. You have to have different parts in the right place in order to get it to work and it doesn't fold very small. The handle is adjustable so that it is comfortable for whoever is pushing.

One simple feature that is missing from this stroller is a tray for snacks or for a toy so that the baby doesn't drop it into the floor and lose it. I don't think that the stroller is really any safer than the lightweight umbrella types and because it is somewhat difficult to handle, it might even be less safe. It is bulkier and can get in your way. I have actually found myself carrying my baby when I knew I wasn't going far because I didn't want to deal with getting the stroller in and out of the trunk.

This is an expensive stroller and I don't think I would have purchased it if I had been able to take it for a test drive. It just doesn't have the quality that I expected for the price I paid and it hasn't shown any significant advantage to safety. It certainly hasn't provided me with the convenience of use that I expected, either.
