Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

This sturdy treadmill is designed for users who want a workout experience that is fully customizable, on a machine which includes features to enhance the user's comfort.

With an MSRP of $1,999, this unit falls into the upper price range when compared against competitors. However, the Bowflex brand has the advantage of a reputable name to help solidify its position as a provider of high quality equipment.

As a user who has sensitive joints, I particularly appreciated the large deck, which features Strike Zone technology shock absorption. This helps to cushion hips, ankles and knees, even throughout strenuous workouts. With my previous model, I was continually frustrated because the deck was very narrow and often I found that my strides would often land outside the moving belt, causing me to trip. The ample deck of this model allows users to focus on putting in an intensive workout without worrying about belt size constraints.

The inclusion of a 3-speed fan brings a cooling aspect to even the hardest workouts, and the dual water bottle holders are conveniently placed for users who are conscious about continuous hydration.

With ten levels of elevation (including the option to use a completely flat surface) and speed settings ranging from .5 to 11 miles per hour, users can quickly tailor their workouts to exact specifications. Two heart rate gauges and 15 pre-set programs allow users to keep track of their exertion levels and focus on programs designed with specific goals in mind.

In closing, users should note that although this treadmill is able to be folded for storage, it is extremely heavy, so extra assistance may be required. Also, the machine is too wide to fit through standard doorways so users should expect to assemble and use it in only one room.
