I bought the Black & Decker FP2500 10 Cups Food Processor approximately 6 months ago and have been very happy with it. I make a lot of soups and food that require processing. I have been through many food processors that have not been up to the task, but this one seems to be doing the job that I need it to do.

It averages in price from $55.00 and up so is good value for the money. It works on 500-watts of power, and can hold 10 cups of substance which is a good size. It has a wide mouth which is great when adding large pieces of food. There are two speeds - high and low, and a pulse which is enough for most processing. Almost all the parts can go into the dishwasher for ease of cleaning. The blades which include a chopping blade, slicing & shredding disk, and a dough blade are made of stainless steel. The size of the machine is approximately 11 x 9 3/5 x 16 3/5 inches, and weighs approximately nine pounds. The suction cups underneath the food processor keep the machine in one place while in action. This powerful food processor is capable of slicing, chopping, shredding, grating and pureeing foods such as whole apples, potatoes, cucumbers, onions, and cheese. It also kneads bread dough with ease.

They didn't think about storage of the blades when they designed this food processor so you have to find an alternate storage area for the parts that are included. Although there is a wide chute that comes with the machine, it can't be used to add food while the machine is functioning. You have to use the smaller chute. If you want to use the wide chute, you have to stop the machine, add the food, and then restart it. It is capable of holding up to 10 cups of food but if there is a lot of liquid, it tends to spill over after approximately three cups which seems to be a common issue with most food processors. It has the same issue with cleaning as most other food processors do; it is difficult to clean the areas where one piece connects to another.

Overall, I rate the Black & Decker FP2500 Food Processor as one of the better machines within a comparable price range. It seems to be a heavy duty food processor and is capable of handling numerous types of food with ease. It doesn't hop all over the place when it is working on solid food. I would recommend this food processor to anyone.
