Bissell 2090 Multi Surface Carpet Steamer with Power Brush

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

For those who have both carpeted and hardwood flooring in their home, it can often be difficult to find a tool that can tackle cleaning across multiple surfaces. However, the Bissell 2090 Multi Surface Carpet Steamer can handle such jobs with ease. The dual capabilities mean that users are saving money by default as they purchase this product, but with a MSRP of $89.99, it is considered a mid-priced model in comparison to competitors.

One of the nice things about this model is its two-step assembly process. It is ready to use almost immediately, and operation is very simple, so the need to read instruction manuals is minimal.

Although some users of carpet steamers may balk at the use of water tanks, the functionality of those within this Bissell model is straightforward so that even novice users can grasp the concept with ease. There are dual water tanks for clean and dirty water, and both are easy to fill and empty as the need dictates. It is also very lightweight, making it ideal for consumers who have multi-level homes. Large wheels make it easy to operate even in confined spaces. Users with pets or young children will appreciate the DirtLifter Power Brush. As a cat owner, I am faced with harsh carpet stains frequently, but the brush system helped to remove even set-in stains.

One aspect that might be considered a downside for users is that the water tank does not heat the water automatically, so one must plan to have adequate hot water available before beginning the cleaning process.

When cleaning is complete, the unit folds for storage, and the cord wraps around a holder located on the back portion.

For the price, this carpet steamer is great at handing even the toughest stains.
