My whole family really enjoys the AstroMaster Telescope that my husband received as a birthday gift along with an astrology book. Taking the kids out on a clear starry night is a great family outing. We take a blanket along with a large thermos of hot chocolate and settle ourselves in for an evening of enjoyment while my husband sets up the telescope and finds something interesting for every one to see. This telescope produces amazingly clear images. It has coated glass optics for clear bright viewing and is very easy to focus. It comes with 20mm and 10mm eyepieces to choose from. Which eyepiece you need to use depends on the images you are looking at and how close or far away they are. The AstroMaster Telescope is very easy to set up and is very easy to take down as well. Its compact size makes it simple to carry around as it is less large and bulky than the older ones. My husband has always been into astrology but I must admit that I am not so in tune with the subject. The software that was included with the telescope makes it much easier for me and my children to learn about what we are looking at. The software teaches you how to locate and identify thousands of celestial objects. The more we study the software the easier it is to understand just what exactly is out there, which makes star gazing more enjoyable for the whole family. My husbands eyes light up every time he is able to teach us something new out there and we show genuine interest. The amazing viewing capability is really getting the kids into it. I would recommend this product to any one interested in astrology and to any one with children who are looking for a great way to spend more time together. It makes family time seem like one of those Kodak moments.
